Kirsty Braes

Senior Townscape and Heritage Adviser

Kirsty studied Interior and Environmental Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, focusing on Urban Design for her final year. She then went on to gain a MA in Urban Design at the University of Westminster. She worked at Peter Stewart Consultancy for over five years and following that at The Townscape Consultancy, where she advised on and assessed the impacts of a broad range of projects across London, many of which included tall buildings and sensitive contexts. Past projects Kirsty has worked on include 120 Fleet Street, Belgrove House, Quayside Quarter, Stratford Assembly, Murphy’s Yard, Bishopsgate Goodsyard, Townsend House, 52 Tottenham Street, and 61-65 Holborn Viaduct.

Kirsty joined the Tavernor Consultancy in 2023 as Senior Townscape and Heritage Adviser. She leads the Consultancy’s input on projects and works alongside senior Consultancy staff. She undertakes research and analysis, provides advice on townscape and heritage matters and writes assessments for planning applications.
