Dan Thomson

Head of Reports

Dan studied history at the University of Cambridge before working at the Church Commissioners (including work for the Church Heritage Forum) and the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE). He has extensive townscape and heritage assessment experience gained during 14 years working at the Peter Stewart Consultancy, where he worked on a range of significant schemes, many of which are now built, including the mixed-use One Tower Bridge scheme on the Potter’s Field site in Southwark, and the South Quay Plaza and Newfoundland residential towers in Canary Wharf.

Dan joined the Tavernor Consultancy in 2022 to lead the written assessment output of the Consultancy. He undertakes townscape, visual and heritage assessments for the Consultancy’s most complex high-profile projects, he oversees the Consultancy’s assessment methodology and its application in reports, and he works closely with the Consultancy team to maintain consistency and quality across the Consultancy’s reports.
